cBioPortal, a multi-omics data integration platform

cBioPortal is an open-source web platform used for the interactive exploration of multidimensional cancer (gen)omics data sets. The platform provides a user-friendly interface for exploring various types of cancer multi-omics data (such as DNA sequencing, gene expression, protein and phosphoprotein, DNA methylation and clinical data).

Users can create custom queries to retrieve and visualise data from multiple studies, perform survival analysis, group comparisons, and generate customised reports. The platform is widely used by cancer researchers and has been adopted by many large-scale cancer genomics projects, including The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA), the International Cancer Genome Consortium (ICGC) and the American Association for Cancer Research Project Genomics Evidence Neoplasia Information Exchange (AACR GENIE).

Do you want to learn more about cBioPortal and how it could be used for your own study data? Please feel free to join our workshop!

Workshop and requirements

During the workshop, you will be given an overview of the functionality of cBioPortal by exploring public study data. You will learn how to navigate the portal and use its features to extract valuable insights from the available data. The workshop will be given in a digital format, using Microsoft Teams (details will be provided upon registration). For participation in the workshop activities, you will only need a computer with an internet connection and a web-browser as we will make use of the public instance of cBioPortal for the demo (cbioportal.org).

Registration

Registration is free of charge but required. If you’re interested in joining the online cBioPortal workshop, please send a mail to info@x-omics and provide us with your first name, last name, organization and country.
